Aluminium is beautiful, but everyone has it. This skin turns the lid of your MacBook into a surface of genuine Black Rock slate – one millimetre thin, matte, finely layered, pleasant under your hands. It protects against scratches and wear, leaves the silhouette unchanged and, thanks to a special adhesive, comes off again without leaving a trace.

Precisely cut for MacBook Air 13" (M1, M2, M3), MacBook Air 15" (M2, M3), MacBook Pro 13" (M1, M2) and MacBook Pro 14" and 16" (M1 Pro, M2 Pro, M3 Pro); on the newer Pro models we allow a narrow margin for the harder edges. Made by hand in Germany, every lid unique. Lay it on dry once before applying – then it sits right first time.

Stone & Origin

Black Rock is a slate from the Jaipur region in Rajasthan, India. Slate forms differently from marble: clay mud was pressed into stone over millions of years and layered into wafer-thin sheets – and it is exactly these layers that can be split. That is why slate has always been the thin stone: the roofs of half the continents are covered with it. We split it thinner still than any roofer ever has.

Black Rock is not polished. Its surface stays as it was split: matte, warm, with a tangible texture and no fingerprints.

Protection & Fit

Real slate, just 1 mm thin, for MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. Protects the lid from scratches, and the special adhesive comes off without leaving residue. Tip: lay the skin on once as a test fit before applying it.
Care

Stone is easy to look after: a drop of Stone Cleaner on a soft cloth and the surface is clean again. Polished stone regains its depth with Marble Polish, while slate stays naturally matte. Care guide
