EVERY CASE ONE OF A KIND. Why no veneer is like another

JEDE HÜLLE EIN UNIKAT. Warum kein Veneer dem anderen gleicht

The veins in marble are healed cracks. The colour of slate comes from minerals deposited in the mud of a sea millions of years ago. None of it was designed, and none of it can be repeated.

What this means for your case

Every stone veneer is cut from a slab that exists only once. Two cases of the same stone share colour and character, but never the exact image: one vein runs further left, a colour change is stronger, one surface is calmer.

Why the photo is never quite right

Our product images show how a stone typically looks. Your case will differ – in the veining, often slightly in colour too. That is not a flaw but proof that it is real stone. On top of that, every screen displays colours differently.

Natural features

The character of natural stone includes things that would be considered defects in an industrial product:

  • Colour changes and clouding within a surface
  • Veins of varying density or strength
  • In slate, a noticeable texture instead of a smooth surface
  • Slight variations in the thickness of the stone layer

Choosing your own veneer

Where our configurator is offered, you don’t have to rely on chance. There you see the individual available veneers and choose the one you like. Once a veneer is taken, it disappears from the selection – because it only exists once.

Handmade

Because no stone is like another, production cannot be fully automated. Our cases are made by hand in our workshop in Mönchengladbach. Each one passes through hands that decide how the stone is shown to its best advantage.

You will find every stone with its origin and character under Stones.
