Two displays. One back in stone.

Two displays. One back in stone.

Since the end of October it has been in the first hands: the iPhone Duo, Apple’s first foldable iPhone. Two displays, one hinge – and one back. That back is what it was all about for us from the very start.

A new device, a new idea

A foldable iPhone is not just a big iPhone. It is opened, closed, turned and opened again, often dozens of times a day. Whatever sits on its back has to go along with all of that without adding bulk. So instead of simply rethinking a case, we built something new: the Fusion Snap.

Marble Fusion Snap Nero Marquina on the iPhone Duo, half open – black marble with white veins in polished aluminium

Fusion Snap: stone meets aluminium

The Fusion Snap is a back made of solid aluminium with a veneer of real marble, around 1 mm thin and polished by hand. Inside the aluminium sits a ring of 36 neodymium magnets, each 1.55 mm thick and aligned to Apple’s MagSafe geometry. It holds in every position – at your desk, in your hand, upside down – and still comes off with one hand. Wireless charging works right through the Snap; cameras, flash and buttons stay free.

We mill the body on five axes from a block of EN AW-6063 and polish it by hand: in Silver with a clear gloss anodising or in Black, hard-anodised. Nothing is painted, nothing can flake.

Two stones to start

Nero Marquina is deep black from the Basque Country, threaded with white calcite – the stone ROXXLYN began with. Invisible Grey is its quiet counterpart: light marble with grey veins, remarkably different from block to block. Both are now available for pre-order, shipping starts on 15 December. We make them in the order they are placed.

Coming soon: Slate Skins for the iPhone Duo

For everyone who wears their Duo completely bare but still wants stone in their hand, two Slate Skins in real slate will follow shortly: Black Rock in deep anthracite and Transocean in blue-green with a wave-like texture. Around 1 mm thin, applied directly to the back and made in two parts, with a separate piece for the camera plateau. The hinge stays free, and folding stays just as it is.

Marble Base: a piece of stone for HomeView

Not for the Duo, but also new: the Marble Base. A round disc of solid marble, 18 mm high and as wide as the body of HomeView. On top sits a fine recess into which its foot gently settles – the two look as if cast from one piece. When HomeView stands somewhere else, the Base becomes a small tray for keys, rings or AirPods.

It comes in Nero Marquina, Rosso Levanto and Calacatta Viola, also available for pre-order with shipping from mid-December. Made to be given for the holidays.

Your mark in stone

Snap and Base can be made personal in the configurator: with UV printing for a logo, signature or text, and on the Snap also with your Apple logo engraved into the stone or an engraving inside, such as your initials. The stone is forever. The print is for your everyday.

Made when you order

Every Fusion Snap is made by hand in our workshop in Germany, only after you have ordered: cutting the veneer, polishing, fitting, checking. It comes with the Stone Passport, with its number, origin and 12 months of breakage cover. And as with everything we make from stone: the photos show an example. Your piece will be patterned differently – it is one of a kind.

Frequently asked questions about the iPhone Duo, Fusion Snap and Marble Base

What is the Fusion Snap?

A magnetic back for the iPhone Duo: a body of solid aluminium (EN AW-6063) with a veneer of real marble around 1 mm thin. It attaches magnetically to the back of your Duo and comes off with one hand.

Is the Fusion Snap a case?

No, it is a back. Cameras, flash and microphone stay free, the buttons untouched, and it is lined with fabric inside so the glass of the Duo never touches metal. It is made for everyone who wants to keep their iPhone Duo slim and still hold stone in their hand.

Can I charge wirelessly with the Fusion Snap?

Yes. Wireless charging works right through the Snap, and MagSafe chargers attach directly.

How firmly does the Fusion Snap hold on the iPhone Duo?

Inside the aluminium sits a ring of 36 neodymium magnets, each 1.55 mm thick and aligned to Apple’s MagSafe geometry, plus a positioning magnet. The Snap holds in every position, even upside down, and sits in the same place every time.

Which stones and colours are available?

To start, Nero Marquina (black marble with white veins) and Invisible Grey (light marble with grey veins). The aluminium comes in Silver, polished with a clear gloss anodising, or in Black, hard-anodised.

When will the Fusion Snap ship?

The Fusion Snap is available for pre-order. Shipping starts on 15 December 2026, and we make them in the order they are placed.

Is every Snap one of a kind?

Yes. Every veneer is cut from a natural block, so its veins and pattern never exist twice. The photos show an example; your stone will look different.

What happens if the stone breaks?

Every Fusion Snap comes with the Stone Passport and 12 months of breakage cover from delivery.

Can I personalise the Fusion Snap?

Yes. In the configurator you can choose UV printing for a logo, signature or text, your Apple logo engraved into the stone, or an engraving inside, such as your initials.

Where is the Fusion Snap made?

By hand in our workshop in Germany, only after you have ordered.

Are there stone skins for the iPhone Duo?

Yes, coming soon: Slate Skins in real slate in Black Rock and Transocean, around 1 mm thin and in two parts, with a separate piece for the camera plateau. The hinge stays free.

What is the Marble Base?

A round disc of solid marble for Apple HomeView (tabletop version): Ø 84 mm, 18 mm high, around 260 g, with a fine recess for its foot. Without HomeView it is a tray for keys, rings or AirPods. It comes in Nero Marquina, Rosso Levanto and Calacatta Viola, available for pre-order with shipping from mid-December.
